For the theme Home For the Holidays, I decided to paint a snowy landscape with a traveler returning to their home. I mainly used this painting to experiment with value and depth. Initially, I painted the entire piece in black and white (which unfortunately made the coloring process kind of a mess). Being stuck at home for so long definitely inspired me to draw something vast and open— I’m really happy with the result.
